The Galway Steiner Kindergarten opened its doors in September 2012 with the support of the wider community, and with special thanks to extraordinary work undertaken by a few families who got this long-dreamed-of project up and running.
The Galway Steiner Kindergarten is a non-profit organisation run by a voluntary management committee made up of parents. We are a socially inclusive Community Kindergarten and have been a registered service since 2012. We participate in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme offering the subsidised pre-school years to eligible children, as well as the Community Care Subvention (CCS) programme for families on low income.
The kindergarten runs from 9.30am to 1pm five days a week. We take children from 2.5 years to 6 years. Most children attend for 5 days though fewer days can be discussed. We are not open over the summer months and our holiday dates follow pretty much those of the school calendar.
If you’d like information about enrolling your child or to arrange a visit to meet our teacher and see the kindergarten, please get in touch with us at galwaysteiner@gmail.com
Priority is given to siblings of children who attended the kindergarten. After that, place on the waiting list is based on the date of enquiry.
